Within a minute of each other on the evening of 19 August, Nujaba's official channel Al-Nujaba TV and its official social-media channel Noon Media published near-identical captions over footage of a crowd, describing the gathering as "crowds of the Islamic resistance and the Popular Mobilization" condemning the arrest of the intelligence official of Baghdad Belt Operations and demanding such actions not recur. Noon Media alone named the man as Abbas al-Yaqoubi and added a demand that he be treated fairly and his record of service preserved. Neither post identifies the arresting authority, the charge, or the location of the gathering, and the imagery carries no landmark that would fix where or when it was filmed.
