On the afternoon of 19 August, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) reported that a parliamentary investigative committee had called PMF chairman Falih al-Fayyadh to appear the following Thursday to explain why PMF headquarters were not evacuated before what it called the aggression, and published an accompanying document image bearing the committee's formation and a named chairman. Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) and Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) then carried word-for-word identical text saying Parliament had addressed al-Zaidi to form a committee to investigate the facts concerning the American-Saudi aggression and the failure to evacuate PMF headquarters. The identical Nujaba and KSS wording and the separate AAH item are the lines in hand; no outside coverage of the committee appears in the collected material.

Factional media is routing a grievance about strikes on PMF sites into a parliamentary process aimed at PMF leadership itself, which puts Falih al-Fayyadh rather than the strike's authors at the centre of the accountability question.
