On 25 August, Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) reported that Egyptian media personality Maha Siraj had described the PMF as “terrorist forces” and called for confronting it. The channel defended the PMF but said weakness and laxity had enabled such remarks, then blamed poor management, leadership and responsible media bodies for weakening the PMF’s image and performance.

“Statements like these would not have been issued without the weakness and laxity that brought matters to this stage. Worse, what weakened the PMF’s image and performance was poor management and leadership, along with the responsible media bodies.”
