On 24 September, Al-Janoub TV (Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina — official) attributed to programme guest Qasim al-Aboudi the claims that weapons control was an external demand implemented by the Coordination Framework and that the Framework served American and Zionist-project wishes. Its captions said he was referring Qais al-Khazali, AAH secretary-general, and Nouri al-Maliki, State of Law Coalition leader, when alleging that two Framework leaders had agreed with a US agenda. The channel later attributed to programme guest Adel al-Manea the reply that al-Aboudi’s opinion was extreme and biased; the captions establish the exchange, not the guests’ underlying allegations.
