Al-Janoub TV airs dispute over missing Saudi-bombing condemnation

Al-Janoub TV aired a dispute between Tabaruk al-Husayni and Salah al-Kabisi over the sovereignty statement and al-Khanjar, asking why neither text condemned the Saudi bombing

WHAT HAPPENED

Al-Janoub TV (Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina — official) posted this morning a segment billed as "a dispute between Tabaruk al-Husayni and Salah al-Kabisi over the sovereignty statement and al-Khanjar" with the editorial question "there is no condemnation of the Saudi bombing in either statement?" (لاتوجد ادانة للقصـ.ـف السعودي في البيانيين؟), tagged #Towards_the_South. The channel put the question in its own caption rather than attributing it to a guest, and did not endorse either disputant.

WHY IT MATTERS

The absence of condemnation of the Saudi strikes has become the test Iraqi factions are applying to other political actors' statements, and it is being adjudicated on faction-owned television.
