KH leads protest-violence allegations across faction media

WHAT HAPPENED

On 24 August, six faction-linked outlets alleged that Iraqi riot-control forces used violence while dispersing graduate protesters in Baghdad; some also reported injuries, arrests and an attempt to stop Al-Ittijah TV’s live broadcast. Visual review shows riot police confronting protesters and restraining at least one civilian, but it does not establish every reported injury or whether the force was excessive. The outlets attributed the violence to state security forces, not to an Iraqi militia.
