Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) posted Abu Ahmad al-Maliki's statement that weapons cannot be handed over while the Zionist-American project remains active in the region, at midday on 18 August. Eighteen minutes earlier the same channel had carried Hadi al-Amiri (Badr Organization) saying the decision on resistance weapons is Iraqi and its legitimacy is determined by the national interest. Both rest on single posts from one channel; no other tracked channel in the collected window carried either line, which is why this sits at credible rather than higher.

لا يمكن تسليم السلاح والمشروع الصهيوأميركي قائم في المنطقة
The condition al-Maliki names is not one the Iraqi state can satisfy, which places the retention of weapons outside the reach of any domestic arrangement, while the Amiri formulation carried alongside it leaves the question inside Iraqi politics.
