On 24 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) attributed to Naram Sin Center for Studies head Haidar al-Barzanji the claim that Turkey requested three months to withdraw its forces from Iraq, and the separate claim that Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi rejected the continued presence of 50 US advisers. It attributed to Turkish writer and journalist Hamza Takin the claim that Turkey’s withdrawal had begun, followed by his claim that Turkey would withdraw from all Iraqi territory. These were guests’ claims carried by the channel, not announcements by either government.
