At 23:28 on 13 August, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) reported that wounded members of the Popular Mobilization Forces had ended their sit-in in appreciation of the Sadiqoun bloc's efforts to follow up their demands, over footage of a nighttime crowd. Sixteen minutes earlier the same channel reported that parliament had directed the hosting of the justice minister and the director of minors' welfare in response to a proposal by al-Rikabi. Neither item states the protesters' demands, any government commitment, or al-Rikabi's bloc.

AAH is on record claiming it, not the government, settled a protest by wounded PMF members, which is the currency by which the bloc converts a security-sector grievance into standing inside the PMF constituency.
