Within forty seconds on the evening of 20 August 2026, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) posted three segments from its programme Nisf Da'ira with Agriculture Minister Abdul Rahim al-Shammari: that investors with influence are converting Baghdad agricultural land to residential use, that junior second-line ministry employees were found arranging contracts and sales as part of anti-corruption work, and that farmers in the disputed areas are prohibited from cultivating their land. The third was posted under the channel's own question asking whether the Kurdistan Democratic Party is pressuring farmers in Nineveh; the minister's quoted answer names the disputed areas and does not name the party. Visual review of that segment shows an on-screen line attributed to al-Shammari about competition between Nineveh and Wasit for the title of Iraq's breadbasket.

Land conversion in Baghdad, ministry contract handling and cultivation rights in the disputed areas are three distinct levers over money and territory, and the same channel put all three in front of its audience in under a minute with a Kurdish party named in the framing of one of them.
