Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) this afternoon aired political analyst Ali al-Sahib saying Adnan al-Janabi’s remarks on Jurf al-Nasr attack Iraq’s stability, aim to stir strife and sectarianism, and warrant an immediate investigation of why they were made at this time. Minutes later Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) reported that the tribes of holy Karbala condemn suspicious calls to return takfiris to Jurf al-Nasr, without naming Janabi. No other collected channel addressed the dispute.

Al-Ahad is putting a named critic in front of the state as an investigable subject, while Al-Ittijah presents the same defense as tribal rather than factional. KSS, Badr Organization and Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina said nothing about Jurf al-Nasr while posting on other topics.
