Within roughly half an hour on the evening of 8 August, Kataib Hezbollah's official station and an affiliated channel carried Hoquq bloc deputy head Saud al-Saadi four times on his parliamentary question asking the prime minister why a Saudi delegation headed by the Saudi intelligence chief was received despite what he called the aggression that struck Popular Mobilization headquarters on 29 July, plus a stated parliamentary effort to summon the prime minister and foreign minister over that file and over Saudis convicted of terrorism. Asaib Ahl al-Haq's station separately aired parliamentary security and defence committee member Waad al-Qadou demanding the state be given room to manage the escalation, firm government action against Saudi Arabia, guarantees against repetition, air defences and advanced aircraft — while stating the Saudi foreign minister and intelligence chief confirmed the attacks on Saudi Arabia did not come from Iraq and that Riyadh is working through Pakistan and Egypt to prevent attacks by Iraqi resistance factions. Both lines are on the record from official faction outlets; no faction in the window claimed responsibility for any attack on Saudi Arabia.

The same 29 July incident is being converted into two different forms of leverage on the Sudani government — a demand that ministers answer to parliament, and a demand for external guarantees plus air-defence procurement — so any Iraqi concession on one track leaves the other faction's demand outstanding.
