On August 30, Al-Sharwgy 313 (AAH — unofficial leadership signal channel) accused PMF Commission chairman Faleh al-Fayyad of possessing advance information before a bombing of PMF sites that caused deaths, contradicting his reported denial, and asked why one party allegedly received the information while others did not. Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) carried Haytham al-Sabti’s argument that al-Fayyadh’s refusal to appear before parliament’s Security and Defense Committee was unlawful, that parliament could remove him if his answers were unsatisfactory, and that the PMF Commission law should be passed to guarantee personnel rights.

“Faleh al-Fayyad’s refusal to appear before parliament is regrettable and unlawful... There are constitutional and legal avenues to remove PMF Commission chairman Faleh al-Fayyad if parliament is not convinced by his answers... The PMF Commission law should be passed.”

“This confirms that he knew the information, contrary to what he apparently denied... If the information existed, why did it reach one party and not another? Is al-Fayyadh the chairman of the PMF Commission or the secretary-general of a faction?”
The two registers converge on al-Fayyadh’s leadership but differ materially in method: one alleges culpability for lethal consequences, while the other points to constitutional and parliamentary procedures.
