Iraq’s finance minister said the Hormuz closure left direct effects on the country’s economy, as Baghdad was reported in talks with Washington and Tehran over Hormuz oil shipments. Verified state-audit figures rose to 2,943 from 1,042 two days earlier, and published tables to 290 from 88.

On the security file, the prime minister urged expedited delivery of advanced air-defense systems.
