The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has postponed its response to what militia channels call American-Saudi aggression against the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the accounts of why diverge. Four press outlets carried the postponement inside a 45-minute span on the evening of 7 August with no originating communiqué, no named spokesman and no militia channel text to corroborate them: two named only Saudi attacks, Islam Times named American-Saudi aggression and credited a call by Ameri, and al-Jumhour al-Ikhbari carried the line that the blood of the martyrs is not subject to bargaining. Hours later the official channel of Abu Alaa al-Walai, secretary-general of Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS), gave the militia space its own version: the decision to hold back came at the request of Coordination Framework leaders, foremost Abu Hassan al-Amiri, and reconsideration of the response's timing, size and type "remains ongoing".
Two further KSS channels reproduced that wording within twenty-six seconds, and it was carried in identical form by Kata'ib Hezbollah (KH)-affiliated Sabereen News and Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq (AAH)'s official Al-Ahad TV within half an hour — the statement is the only source for the claim that Coordination Framework leaders asked for the delay, and it names no target, timetable or operational detail.
On the political front, Hamed al-Moussawi, spokesman for the Badr Organization's parliamentary bloc, said on Badr's own Al-Ghadeer TV that the response to the targeting of the Popular Mobilization Forces "has been postponed and has not been cancelled", naming no target, no timetable and no party held responsible. No other militia channel carried a matching line. Reuters reported the Iraqi prime minister and the Saudi intelligence chief discussing regional security as the militias delayed their response, and BasNews reported the premier guaranteeing no Iran-backed militia attacks on Saudi Arabia; the Saudi side also renewed an invitation to Baghdad's prime minister to visit Riyadh.
In the militia space, four channels across three networks — Sabereen News and Unit 10,000 (both KH — affiliated), Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — aligned) and Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official) — reported late on 7 August that leave had been opened to all security-force personnel except commanders and officers. The carriers diverge on one point: Badr's channel alone localised the measure to the Interior Ministry and sourced it to an unnamed "source", while the KH- and KSS-linked channels carried it unattributed as a general security-forces measure. No issuing authority or order number appears in any of the four, no Iraqi government confirmation or denial has been reported, and there is no outside coverage of the measure.
Still in the militia space, Kataib Hezbollah's official Al-Ittijah TV published Al-Aboudi saying the Islamic Resistance had given the government a "second chance" to carry out its duty toward the Iraqi people, with no demand, deadline or consequence attached and no other tracked channel carrying the formulation. Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated) took a different line on the same event, carrying a statement attributed to "the factions" that the blood of their martyrs is the fuel of their steadfastness, and, twelve minutes earlier, al-Zaidi telling the head of Saudi intelligence that Iraq will not permit its territory to be used as a launch point against any neighbouring state. Neither Watan TV item is presented as a Badr Organization statement in its own voice.
On the weapons file, AAH's official Al-Ahad TV aired two clips about a minute apart on the evening of 7 August: Mahdi Taqi Amrli saying there is a major conspiracy against Iraq to drag the Popular Mobilization Forces into the war, and political analyst Nabil al-Azzawi saying the factions will be contingent on the state's decision on restricting weapons to state control. Neither speaker is identified as an Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq official, so what stands is what the channel chose to air.
On the domestic front, three militia broadcasters made government service failure their subject within seventy-five minutes on 7 August, each in a different province and in its own words: Al-Ittijah TV on public anger in the Kurdistan Region over service shortages and salary theft, iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) on al-Aythawi urging a broad services campaign in Anbar, and Al-Ahad TV on demonstrations in Wasit demanding the governorate's electricity share. The desk's text-matching found no shared wording between the three items; the convergence is on subject only. Separately, Watan TV posted overnight that "major heads" would fall in Diwaniyah next week, naming the judiciary and the Integrity Commission as the instruments but no official, office or case.
