On 11 October, Ansar Allah political-bureau member Muhammad al-Bukhaiti, speaking through Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media), described Saudi Arabia as the aggressor, accused it of breaking the de-escalation agreement and said unmet demands could lead to offensive objectives to remove its ruler. Political and legal researcher Sattam al-Arif instead said Saudi Arabia had not blockaded Yemen, supported the legitimate Yemeni government, acted defensively and that Riyadh airport served civilians only; he also stated acceptance of an Israeli state conditional on establishing a Palestinian state.

“Saudi Arabia is in the position of the aggressor, and it announced the aggression in 2015. Saudi Arabia broke the de-escalation agreement and insists on the option of war. If Ibn Salman does not respond to our demands, we may change our objectives from defensive to offensive ones that remove him.”

“Saudi Arabia did not impose a blockade on Yemen. Saudi Arabia supports the legitimate Yemeni government and does not deal with armed groups. Riyadh airport is civilian and serves civilians only. The Saudi role in Yemen is a reaction to preserve the kingdom. If the Palestinian state is established, we will accept the “State of Israel.””
