On 18 October, Hoquq MP Muhammad Jabar al-Hasnawi (KH — parliamentary bloc) called on Dhi Qar’s governor to give utmost priority to selecting a Nasiriyah municipality director capable of meeting its challenges. Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official owned media) quoted him saying that previous directors who had delivered nothing must not be rotated back into the post.
