AAH channel attacks Khanjar as not sounding Iraqi

Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) carried Mohammed al-Yasiri and Imad al-Musafir attacking Khamis al-Khanjar, saying his statement after the Saudi aggression does not sound Iraqi and that accepting his view of the resistance factions would have left Daesh in Baghdad

WHAT HAPPENED

Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) posted two segments on the night of 4 August attacking Iraqi politician Khamis al-Khanjar: Imad al-Musafir criticising his vision of the resistance factions with the line that accepting it would have left Daesh in Baghdad, and, about seventy-five minutes later, Mohammed al-Yasiri saying whoever reads al-Khanjar's statement after the Saudi aggression would not say he is Iraqi. Al-Khanjar's own statement is not quoted in the supplied evidence, and no other tracked channel in the collected window mentioned him.

WHY IT MATTERS

A named Iraqi political figure's response to what these broadcasts call the Saudi aggression is being made a test of Iraqi identity on a faction-owned channel, during the same hours that channel is arguing about who controls weapons.
