What Iraq was actually paid per barrel: SOMO’s export revenue divided by the barrels it shipped. Brent is the headline price; this is the cheque. - Fiscal breakeven (IMF)
The IMF’s fiscal breakeven is the oil price at which Iraq’s budget balances, a yearly figure drawn flat across its months. Its newest vintage (October 2024) runs to 2025; the line stops there, and its last two years are the Fund’s estimate and projection, not outturns.
