On 4 October, Arab Center for Iranian Studies director Mohammad Saleh Sedqian, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media), said the occupation behind the resistance factions’ establishment and the terrorism behind the PMF’s formation had ended. He nevertheless said jihad continued in the field, construction and politics, and described AAH or other factions entering political work as reassuring. He also said Iran, the United States and other countries should respect Iraqi decisions and asserted that Iran did not seek to interfere in Iraqi affairs.
