On Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) this evening, Sadiqoun MP Qaisar al-Jurani said applying the Counter-Terrorism Law to the factions is illogical, that confining weapons "does not mean handing them over" but "placing the state's hand on them", that this is a reassurance message to attract companies, that the factions believe in a state ruled by law, and that any foreign force is a danger to Iraq. Sixteen minutes later Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) carried al-Jazairi saying the weapons-confinement demand is American "without discussion" and that Barrack is pressuring Iraq. Both statements are broadcast on the factions' own channels in the same window.
