On the evening of 8 August 2026, Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated/aligned media) broadcast a programme in which a speaker named al-Sayyadi alleged that Saudi Arabia took an oil line from Iraq as "khawa" (protection tribute), that regulatory oversight in Iraq is absent, and that he had previously reported a figure called Abu Mazen for forging an educational certificate only for the man to be included in an amnesty. In the same hour Al-Ghadeer TV (Badr Organization — official owned media) relayed official reporting naming six suspects with arrest warrants in a land-plot forgery network at Nasiriyah municipality in Dhi Qar, and a Supreme Council for Financial and Monetary Stability meeting on economic and banking reform. Two lines of the same network are visible — official relay and affiliated commentary — but nothing in the evidence connects Badr organisationally to either the investigation or the council.

Badr's outlets are contesting Saudi Arabia over pipelines and revenue rather than over retaliation, giving the network a separate axis of grievance from the one al-Kaabi's statement set out.
