On 11 September, Qais al-Khazali, AAH’s secretary-general, said Iraq had moved away from economic collapse but entered a period of economic difficulty. Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) also carried his statement that conditions would have been much worse without the Central Bank’s financial reserves.
