On 19 August, Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) reported that the Oil Ministry had still not explained the causes of the continuing fuel crisis in Baghdad. Roughly forty minutes later Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) documented a third consecutive day of shortages and congestion at filling stations in New Baghdad, listing no electricity, no fuel in an oil country, no infrastructure and no traffic plans, and closing by saying they are "running after the weapon of dignity, the first and last protector of Iraq's national security". Both items are the network's own commentary; no ministry statement is included in the collected evidence.

“No electricity, no fuel in an oil country, no decent infrastructure … and they are running after the weapon of dignity, the first and last protector of Iraq's national security.”
لا كهرباء براسها حظ / لا وقود ببلد النفط / لا بنى تحتية مال اوادم ... وراكضين وره سلاح الكرامة الحامي الاول والاخير عن امن العراق القومي
Attaching the "weapon of dignity" formula to a queue at a Baghdad filling station converts a service failure into an argument against state monopoly on arms, aimed at an audience feeling the shortage directly.
