On 19 August between 11:47 and 12:52, KH and Nujaba media both took up the case of Abbas al-Yaqoubi, described in the posts as PMF Baghdad Belt Operations intelligence director, following his clearance by the Iraqi judiciary. Unit 10,000 and Sabereen News (both KH — affiliated) publicised an official PMF reception for him — "his weapon on his chest, surrounded by the care of the Holy Quran" — and described the Counter-Terrorism Service as having abducted him from his home, while Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) aired his first appearance accusing Tom Barrack of trying to drag Iraqi security forces into internal fighting. Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) posted four statements from Nasr al-Shammari within two minutes calling the accusations fabricated, asserting al-Yaqoubi's senior PMF rank and clean record, and saying there is "no condolence" for parties taking orders from the American envoy Barrack.
