KSS media claims credit for ending wounded-PMF sit-ins

WHAT HAPPENED

Between 19:20 and 20:36 on 13 August, iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) published a video of a night-time gathering captioned as wounded PMF protesters thanking KSS secretary-general Abu Alaa al-Walai and Muntasirun bloc head Falih al-Khazali for responding to their demands and deciding to end their sit-ins. In the same hour it carried a quote attributed to PMF figure Mohammed al-Safi that some politicians use the PMF to serve their electoral aims, a further PMF-leader line that the force is exploited every election season without regard for its rights, and a report that some political actors do not want a strong PMF. All of it runs on one faction-affiliated channel; no outside coverage of the sit-ins or their end appears in the collected window.
