iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) carried three statements from Falih al-Khazali (KSS — head of the Muntasirun bloc) on 17 August: that he had delivered to the prime minister a file of $309 billion in public-money waste audited by the Financial Supervision Bureau, in support of the government's accountability measures; that the government must disburse 3.48 trillion dinars owed to farmers for the 2026 season; and that the prime minister had approved 350 billion dinars for the 2025 agricultural season. The same channel separately carried al-Saad arguing that deleting zeros from the currency would cause social problems and that changing the currency is the better solution.
