Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official owned media) posted this morning that the Popular Mobilization Forces were conducting a security operation in the Nineveh Plain to secure the Arbaeen pilgrimage, with an image of an armoured vehicle flying the Iraqi flag and uniformed men in open ground. Roughly ninety minutes earlier, Shafaq News reported that the Popular Mobilization Forces were emptying their Nineveh premises and moving to alternative sites in anticipation of American strikes. The rungs differ: the Nujaba item is a self-published claim with imagery that the desk cannot independently place; the relocation report has one outside line and no militia confirmation, denial or comment in the collected window.

The divergence is between an Iraqi militia's own picture of confident deployment in Nineveh and an outside report of the same force dispersing there; whichever holds, Nineveh is where the pressure is being registered this morning.
