On 15 September, Al-Nujaba TV (Nujaba — official) carried NTV Iraq programme captions featuring independent politician Ibrahim al-Dulaimi and legal expert Hussein al-Waeli alleging irregularities across Ministry of Trade systems. The captions separately questioned IQD 40 billion and IQD 36 billion in public or food-ration funds, alleged hundreds of billions in bakery losses, said 380 mills and contracts worth millions of dollars were involved, claimed a 150-ton mill was recorded at 1,000 tons, alleged licences worth millions of dollars were waived and said an employee was transferred 20 times after refusing to sign corruption files.
