On 12 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) relayed Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief Ali Faleh al-Zaidi’s statement that Iraq would not become an arena for others’ conflicts or a launch point for attacks on neighbouring states. The channel also attributed to Ali Faleh al-Zaidi commitments to independent Iraqi decision-making, stronger state authority, economic reform, fighting corruption and constitutional rights, alongside the assertion that attempts to undermine security would be broken by public support for the government and armed forces.
