On 19 September, political researcher Abdul Karim al-Ansi, speaking on Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official), called Yemeni defence of territorial sovereignty legitimate, said Yemen could control its territorial waters and described Saudi Arabia as unable to protect vital and strategic facilities. The channel’s Sana’a correspondent separately said escalation had forced Saudi Arabia onto different paths, reported imminent Sana’a–Riyadh talks and said Saudi strikes continued against civilians in Yemeni provinces.
