On the evening of 7 August 2026, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official channel Al-Ahad TV posted two clips roughly a minute apart. In the first, Mahdi Taqi Amrli said there is a major conspiracy against Iraq to drag the Popular Mobilization Forces into the war; in the second, political analyst Nabil al-Azzawi said the factions will be contingent on the state's decision on the file of restricting weapons to state control. Both rest on a single channel with no second source, which holds the rung at credible for what the channel aired and no higher for what Asaib Ahl al-Haq itself holds.

Asaib Ahl al-Haq's own platform is putting deference to the state and non-involvement in the war into circulation at the same hour it carries a postponed-retaliation banner, which is the domestic legitimacy ground on which the weapons-control file is being argued.
