On the evening of 16 August Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated) carried al-Fatlawi saying 80 percent of Jurf al-Nasr’s original residents had returned and that a visit would follow in two days, and al-Sharifi saying Jurf al-Sakhr is a test and the government cannot take a fateful decision without agreement among the blocs. In the same hour Al-Janoub TV (Harakat al-Jihad wal-Bina — official) carried popular and tribal rejection of returning people it called terrorists, and condemned what it called suspicious calls for their return to Jurf al-Nasr. No collected outlet reported a cabinet decision on the district.
