Within about seven minutes this morning, Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) posted that the headquarters of "the sabotaging parties" in Erbil governorate had been targeted and then that smoke was rising from their camps in the Doli Alana area as a result; iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) posted a breaking graphic reporting the sound of explosions in Erbil. Visual review of the Sabereen News video shows a dark plume on an arid hillside with power lines in the foreground; nothing in it identifies the location, the cause or any structure. The rung is preponderance rather than higher: two separate militia networks describe an event in the same governorate within minutes, which is more than a single voice, but no outside coverage of the Erbil explosions appears in the collected material and neither channel names who struck.

A KH-affiliated channel describing effects on named camps in Erbil ahead of any claim, and ahead of any outside coverage in the collected material, is the network positioning itself as the first account of a strike in Kurdistan-administered territory.
