Al-Ahad TV, AAH's official channel, published on the evening of 14 August a set of quotes from political and legal affairs researcher Dr Ibrahim al-Sultani, who described the targeting of PMF headquarters by Saudi Arabia without evidence as a case of aggression, said it endangered Iraq's security, and called for summoning the Saudi ambassador, recourse to the Security Council, and guarantees against violations of Iraq's territory. He also said the PMF is an official security institution under the law and that there is no transparency about the reasons for the Saudi intelligence chief's visit to Iraq. The remedies named are all state channels; no militia action is proposed, and the supplied evidence contains no outside reporting on the alleged strikes.

“Saudi Arabia's targeting of PMF headquarters without evidence is a case of aggression... The Saudi aggression requires Iraq to summon the Saudi ambassador and resort to the Security Council... The PMF is an official security institution under the law... There is no transparency about the reasons for the Saudi intelligence chief's visit to Iraq.”
AAH's channel is pressing the Saudi file into Iraqi state machinery — the foreign ministry, the Security Council file, and the PMF's legal status — which is where the network's leverage over this dispute would actually be exercised.
