Abd al-Ghani al-Ghadban, head of the political office of the Shams Party, told Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) on the evening of 20 August that any official is obliged to answer a parliamentary hosting request, that Fayyadh's non-attendance would 'give justification for condemning him', and that he should appear to state his position on the targeting of PMF headquarters. In the same set of remarks he said the PMF suffers leadership stagnation, needs new blood, and that institutions do not depend on one person — 'Fayyadh may go tomorrow and someone will succeed him' — while urging rapid passage of the PMF service and retirement law. This rests on a single speaker on a single channel; no other tracked channel in the collected window carried it, and no PMF response is in the collected material.

“Fayyadh must come to parliament in response to the hosting request... It is better that Fayyadh appear before parliament and state his position regarding the targeting of PMF headquarters... The PMF suffers from stagnation in its leadership and new blood must be brought in to lead the body... The work of institutions does not depend on one person, and Fayyadh may go tomorrow.”
Watch: a parliamentary hosting session actually convened for Fayyadh; a second faction channel carrying the 'new blood' formulation; a PMF or Fayyadh-office rebuttal; movement on the PMF service and retirement law — any of these moves this file.
