Muhammad Samaan, governor of Kirkuk and a member of the State Administration Coalition, told Al-Ahad TV's "Qabl al-Ghad" that al-Zaidi informed the PMF authority's head of the bombardment hours in advance and disclosed this in a State Administration Coalition meeting, and that Saudi Arabia told the foreign minister it had struck weapons depots rather than any PMF member. Al-Ahad TV carried the line twice within roughly ten minutes on the evening of 10 August 2026, once as a standalone flash. Samaan also said the coalition agreed on dialogue and a diplomatic solution.
