On 21 September, Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) relayed an IRGC spokesman’s claim that Iranian missiles and drones struck U.S. command, logistics and intelligence facilities across the region. The spokesman also claimed that most of the bases were disabled, Fifth Fleet vessels withdrew 400 kilometres from the Gulf and Washington failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
