Wounded PMF personnel have been sitting in outside the Pension Authority in Baghdad, which Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) put at five days without a response from the relevant authorities. On 13 August between 11:13 and 11:37, KH channels carried Huquq bloc MP Mohammad Jabbar al-Hasnaawi alleging an assault by the security forces that same day and calling it a dangerous precedent, and Huquq MP Muqdad al-Khafaji declaring support for the protesters and regretting their unequal treatment against wounded security-force personnel. KSS channels covering the identical protest in the same half-hour reported KSS secretary-general Abu Alaa al-Walai's attendance and the demands, with no mention of any assault; there is no outside coverage of the alleged assault in the collected material, so the incident itself rests on the KH accounts alone.

KH is using a benefits and pension grievance to put a repression charge on the Iraqi security forces by name, which raises the political cost of any further police handling of the sit-in, while KSS is banking the same grievance as leadership presence and unmet demands.
