On 13 September, iNEWS (KSS — affiliated) reported that Anbar was considering odd-even rationing as its fuel crisis intensified. Al-Ittijah TV (KH — official) subsequently said the gasoline crisis had worsened for a third week across Baghdad and the provinces, blamed failed government promises and republished a statement dated 14 September 2023 from Hoquq MP Muqdad al-Khafaji holding the government responsible and demanding domestic production and strategic reserves.
