Al-Ittijah TV, Kataib Hezbollah's official owned media, carried three statements from Hoquq bloc MP Saud al-Saadi on 25 July within 35 minutes: at 18:44, that an official at the Media and Communications Commission was "أُحيل اليوم للقضاء بتهم تتعلق بالهدر المالي" ("referred to the judiciary today on charges related to financial waste"); at 18:51, "نحن مع حملة مكافحة الفساد" ("we are with the anti-corruption campaign") and that "قُدمت لنا إغراءات مقابل التنازل عن قضية خور عبد الله.. لكننا رفضناها" ("we were offered inducements in return for conceding the Khor Abdullah case, but we refused them"); and at 19:18, flagged as aired for the first time on the channel, that "بعض الوزراء الذين رافقوا الزيدي إلى أميركا لم يكونوا راضين عن الاتفاقيات التي وقعت" ("some of the ministers who accompanied al-Zaidi to America were not satisfied with the agreements that were signed"). No other tracked channel in the collected window was observed carrying al-Saadi's remarks.
This is state capture through the anti-corruption and judicial track: by claiming ownership of referrals at a regulator that licenses broadcasters, and by casting itself as the only bloc that refused to trade away Khor Abdullah, the bloc positions itself to police both media licensing and the government's foreign commitments.
