At 13:24 on 29 July, Al-Ittijah TV (Kataib Hezbollah — official owned media) quoted Hoquq bloc deputy Miqdad al-Khafaji: "we have gathered more than 60 signatures to convene an emergency session of the Council of Representatives to discuss the Saudi-American aggression on the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces." A live interview from Baghdad followed minutes later on the same channel, with on-screen chyrons carrying the same signature claim and a separate line attributed to the head of Harakat Hoquq commenting on the aggression. Visual review of that video shows the deputy interviewed outdoors with a crowd, some in military-style uniform, behind him. No other tracked actor in the window mentions the signature drive.
An emergency session convened on these terms would put the government's handling of foreign agreements and Saudi ties onto the parliamentary record under militia-aligned framing, which is a different instrument from the street and front-brand demands running in parallel.
