Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) posted at 17:12 on 20 August relaying the Islamic Republic's statement that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to everyone but remains open to Iraqi oil and Iraqi livelihoods, along with the Iranian parliament speaker's message to Iraqis. The same post characterised the Iraqi parliament speaker as "the UAE's representative in Iraq" over a tweet on the "Persian Gulf" and Hormuz, and closed with a warning that if Iraq's economy and people's livelihoods are endangered, Iraqis must stay vigilant and know who is responsible for this fitna. The rung is preponderance: the wording is directly in the post, but the closing warning is unattributed and it cannot be established from the evidence whether it is Sabereen's own line or a continuation of the relayed Iranian text.

Hormuz appeared in 12 of 34 watched channels across five networks in this collection period, and this post shows how the network converts a maritime dispute into Iraqi domestic blame-assignment against the speaker of parliament.
