Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) posted four segments this evening from government spokesman Haidar al-Aboudi on the programme Nisf Da'ira. He stated there was no coordination with the government over what he called the Saudi attack, no government knowledge of the Saudi-American attacks before they occurred, and that reports al-Zaydi informed PMF leaders in advance are untrue; he added that Jordan passed on information about preparations to strike it from Iraq, that the constitution bars Iraq from being a launch point against neighbours, that talks continue with parties reluctant to hand over weapons, that parliament alone may declare a state of war, that Baghdad went to the United Nations over the attack, and that what Saudi Arabia presented does not rise to conclusive proof. The window contains no militia claim of responsibility for the strikes and no faction rebuttal of the denial.
