On 29 September, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) attributed to Iranian political analyst Jalal Jaraghi the statement that U.S. interests and assets across the region would be Iranian targets if war resumed. Its fuller caption also attributed to him a preference for diplomacy to stop tensions; a shorter caption repeated the conditional target statement. This was Jaraghi’s position relayed by the channel, not an Iraqi militia announcement.
