AAH-owned Al-Ahad TV airs al-Jabari’s call for action against Fayyad

WHAT HAPPENED

On September 1, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official owned media) carried political researcher Wathiq al-Jabari’s argument that parliament could take decisions in Faleh al-Fayyad’s absence and use all available legal and judicial procedures against him for reportedly failing to attend a requested session. Al-Jabari said Fayyad should explain his absence, answer questions following the reported targeting of PMF headquarters, and comply with parliamentary oversight; no evidence in the window establishes that parliament initiated such measures or independently corroborates the reported targeting.

  1. Al-Ahad TVAAH — official owned media01 Sept, 07:36

All legal and judicial procedures are available to parliament against Fayyad over his failure to attend the session. Fayyad must answer the questions directed to the highest authority in the organization after the PMF headquarters were targeted. Fayyad’s nonattendance is a dangerous precedent, and the government must cooperate with parliament.

WATCH — WHAT WOULD MOVE THIS FILE

a parliamentary summons or legal measure against Fayyad by September 4 would show institutional uptake, while a formal AAH or Sadiqoun endorsement would establish faction ownership; any of these moves this file.
