Asaib Ahl al-Haq channel pushes Salah ad-Din corruption seizures

Al-Ahad TV, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official channel, promoted Federal Integrity Commission findings in Salah ad-Din, reporting 2.5 billion dinars seized at a former accounts director's home and six investment properties registered to his wife

WHAT HAPPENED

At 12:30 and 12:31 UTC on 28 July, Al-Ahad TV, Asaib Ahl al-Haq's official channel, published two items — "صلاح الدين..مليارات وعقارات تحت مجهر التحقيق" ("Salah ad-Din: billions and properties under the investigation's microscope") and "النزاهة تكشف قضية فساد جديدة" ("Integrity reveals a new corruption case") — both carrying the movement's standing hashtag #الحسين_نهجنا. Visual review of the video reports that the Federal Integrity Commission seized 2.5 billion dinars inside the home of the former head of the accounts department in Salah ad-Din, identified six investment properties formally registered in the name of the detained suspect's wife, confirmed his detention under Article 340 of the Iraqi Penal Code, and alleged he cashed fictitious cheques at Rafidain Bank purportedly to pay provincial employees' entitlements. The items name no political affiliation for the suspect; no other tracked channel in the collected window carried them, and no external media reporting on the case appears in the retrieved evidence.

WHY IT MATTERS

Which corruption cases a faction chooses to publicise, and in which province, shapes public perception of who is corrupt and who enforces the law — a low-cost way to accumulate reputational authority over rivals and local administrations.
