On the evening of 17 August, Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) published two separate sets of remarks about the Saudi strike on Popular Mobilization Forces headquarters. Sadiqoun bloc MP Salem al-Abbasi said the PMF administration should have evacuated the military headquarters before the strike, that delaying the parliamentary hosting session was unacceptable, and that the PMF chairman had not responded to attending the session. Twenty minutes later the channel carried Hashim al-Husseini, deputy head of the Political Development Academy, saying there was no explanation for the failure to notify PMF headquarters despite prior knowledge, that proving negligence would be a criminal offence, and that Fayadh's remaining in post was an explicit legal violation with conditions prepared for his dismissal. The rung holds at credible: two named voices on one official channel, consistent with each other, with no competing account in the collected window.
