Between 08:04 and 08:41 on 21 August, channels belonging to five different factions carried the Federal Commission of Integrity's announcement that it had begun auditing pension files and cross-checking National Pension Authority data, that the cross-check found 16,384 deceased people whose pensions had not been stopped, that branch managers in provinces which saw terrorist acts were implicated in deliberately manufactured errors in retirees' records, and — on one Badr channel — that some 40,000 Qi Cards were issued from outdated data.
