In the same Al-Ahad TV appearance on the evening of 2026-08-09, Sadiqoun MP Ahmed Kain al-Khazali said al-Zaydi had informed al-Fayyad hours beforehand that PMF headquarters would be struck, that the heads of the security services received no notification at all, and that if it were true that only one PMF faction was notified of the timing, that would be a catastrophe. Separately, Falih al-Khazali of the Muntasirun bloc said on the same channel that parliament had formed a committee, on the instruction of the first deputy speaker, to investigate whether the government received prior notification. Two speakers from different factions on the same channel raise the notification question; neither names the allegedly notified faction.
